Guided Mountain Hikes

Every Sunday between August 4 and November 3, the Sierra Club and Save Our Coast/Citizens Alliance for the Tunnel Solution will conduct 5-mile-long hikes on Montara Mountain. Learn about San Mateo County's Measure T, the Tunnel Initiative, and about McNee Ranch State Park.

The moderate, five-mile hikes start at 10:30 am. Meet at the McNee Ranch State Park entrance gate on Highway One, 4 miles south of the Linda Mar intersection in Pacifica and .5 miles north of the Chart House Restaurant in Montara. Park at the north Montara State Beach parking lot and walk .2 miles north to the McNee Ranch entrance gate. Bring lunch, water and a jacket.

The 3rd Incredible Save Our Shores Hike on Montara Mountain

Join fifteen knowledgeable hike leaders for a moderate-to-strenuous 6-mile-long fall hike on Montara Mountain, October 12, 10:30 am to 4 pm. Hike begins at San Pedro Valley County Park, 600 Oddstad Blvd, Pacifica and ends in McNee Ranch State Park.

Shuttle cars will return hikers to Pacifica. Bring lunch, water and a jacket. Parking $3.
